Role Description The Immigration Paralegal will support attorneys in all aspects of immigration casework in a full-time, on-site role located in Nashville, TN. Daily responsibilities include preparing and organizing immigration forms and legal documents, assembling supporting evidence, and maintaining accurate client files. The role involves direct client communication to gather information, explain document requirements, and provide case status updates under attorney supervision. The paralegal will track deadlines, manage case calendars, and assist with filings to government agencies such as USCIS, DOS, and EOIR. Additional tasks include legal research on immigration issues, preparing translations or coordinating translation services, and collaborating with the legal team to ensure efficient case progression.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Law and Immigration Law, with the ability to understand and apply relevant statutes and regulations.
• Experience handling EOIR Immigration Issues and Visas, including family-based, employment-based, humanitarian, and removal defense matters.
• 3-5 years of experience in Legal Document Preparation for immigration filings, supporting evidence packets, and client correspondence.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail and organization.
• Ability to manage multiple cases, prioritize tasks, and meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Prior paralegal or legal assistant experience in immigration law is highly preferred.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree, paralegal certificate, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Comfort working on-site and collaborating closely with attorneys and staff; proficiency with case management software and common office applications.
• Multilingual skills, particularly Spanish is required.
